PROPERTY INFO:

CASA BLISS

Walk through the teal door at Casa Bliss and the open-air courtyard opens overhead — glass roof, rain chain, pebble garden at the heart of the floor plan. Four bedrooms sleep eight in a Links-side villa, with an included cook handling the meals. The fit: a family of eight in their own rooms, a friend group around the long outdoor table, or two couples on a long weekend who came for the courtyard layout and the fairway out back.

Mornings start at the long alfresco dining table on the covered terrace. The louvred panels fold back to the pool, fans on overhead. By midday the cart's at the pergola bar with the grill at one end. The open-air courtyard sits at the heart of the floor plan, glass-roofed and quiet through the afternoon. By sundown the family eats again at the long table outside, the Links fairway quiet at the bottom of the lawn.

Casa Bliss is centrally placed in the resort, equidistant from the beach and the Marina. Teeth of the Dog — ranked the Caribbean's top course by the World Golf Awards — is a short ride up the road for the round, with The Links at the same distance. Minitas Beach Club is a short ride for the beach day, and Altos de Chavón is a short drive up the cliff for the evening above the river. Book Casa Bliss when the trip is built around the courtyard-at-heart villa and the fairway out back, not a beachfront estate where the same view repeats from every window.
