The Honest Comparison
The Question Every Advisor Gets
“Isn’t an all-inclusive easier and cheaper? Sometimes, yes. Here’s exactly when.”
Against entry rooms at a 5-star all-inclusive, a top-tier private villa costs more. Against the resort’s own private-villa product, the real like-for-like for a luxury group, Villa Solara costs less, sleeps more, and the group never shares a pool, beach or dining room with hundreds of rooms of other guests. The gap is smallest for adult-heavy groups.
We show the maths, line by line, before anyone commits.
Best For
- Families and multi-generational groups
- Groups wanting a private beach and full staff
- Up to 14 guests under one roof
Not Ideal For
- Travellers wanting a built-in kids club
- Guests who prefer resort restaurants and shared amenities
- Groups prioritising the lowest possible room rate

- Villa rates from the villa’s published 2026–27 rate sheet, per night. Plus 12% government tax and 10% service charge.
- The 10% service charge is mandatory, and the villa partner advises that staff receive at least 70% of it. A further cash tip is not obligatory. For exceptional service, we allow $3,000 for a high-season week and $2,000 in low season.
- The optional cash-tip allowance reflects about $150/day each for the butler and chef, $100/day for the housekeeper, and $50/day when there is a groundskeeper.
- Private chef, villa host and housekeeper included. Food and beverage is modelled at $125 per person per day, the midpoint of the partner’s $100–$150 guidance, including one dinner out.
- Private van transfers: $600 round trip per 8 guests. SUV: $750/week.
- Resort benchmarks use published ‘from’ rates for a 5-star family all-inclusive in Providenciales (club-level rooms from ~$1,060/adult/night; resort private villas est. ~$3,000/adult/night, max 10 guests), treated as tax- and gratuity-inclusive with transfers included, and are not season-adjusted.
- Christmas and New Year require a 10-night minimum. Sept/Oct promotions not applied.
- Excluded on both sides: flights, spa, private boat charters, excursions, insurance.
