Questions you may have about our service

  • How do I choose the right villa?

Unlike hotels or resorts, each vacation rental is unique and offers a vast array of different amenities and features. Feel free to use our search page to find your perfect villa or reach out to our team of villa specialists who know the properties well. Depending on your top wishes, budget, and destinations of interest, our team will provide you a tailored list of our top choices for your vacation.

  • How far do I need to book in advance?

As they say, the early bird gets the worm! With vacation rentals gaining extreme popularity, we always suggest that you book well in advance for peak days. For the busiest weeks in the year like Christmas and New Years, many of our villas are rented 1-year in advance or more. For other peak winter periods book between 6-12 months in advance of your stay for the most selection. That being said, we understand that for variety of reasons early-booking is not always a possibility. We are always happy to work out last minute discounts or options when you are in a pinch!

  • What is the booking and cancellation policy?

Our standard booking and cancellation policy is a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve the dates. The balance is due 60 days before check-in for low and high-season periods. For Christmas and New Years rentals, the balance is due 90 days before check-in. We offer trip cancellation insurance through our partner Rental Guardian.

  • Are there any hidden or extra fees?

There are no hidden fees when booking a vacation rental with Personal Villas. In some instances, there are extra resort membership fees listed on the property page. Other costs associated with a vacation include groceries, staff tip, and ground transportation like airport transfers and car rentals. We provide all guests with guidelines for budgeting your entire vacation so there are no surprises!

  • What is the minimum stay length?

Minimum stays vary by property and season. Low season is typical May to November and depending on the villa ranges from 2 to 5 night minimum. For example if you have rice and chicken each day it will be less than premium cuts of beef, lobster, or other imported items. In some cases staff can stay later for extra fees. At some of our larger estates, the staff live onsite in staff quarters and your privacy is completely assured.
