Staff: Usually Included
Most of our Jamaica houses come fully staffed. A cook and a butler run the house, and housekeeping and laundry are done daily.
Food Extra
The cook does the shopping. You hand over cash for groceries up front, plus the cook's taxi to market, about $80. Budget $75 to $95 a person a day.
Staff gratuity runs about 10% of the rent in high season and 15% in low season, paid in cash at the end. Some houses make it mandatory. GCT is 10% now and goes to 15% for stays from April 1, 2027. Damage deposits are set house by house.

What Governs the Arrival Day
The drive from the airport. Most houses arrange a driver to meet you at MBJ, and Tryall's transfer is $120 round trip for up to four, plus $30 for each extra adult. Book flights that land early if you're staying near Ocho Rios.
Don't plan on renting a car. A driver for the week is the usual way to get around, from about $1,190 plus 15%.
